A Trefoil Mountain Top Moment March 2010

Last week 50 members from the eight local Trefoil Guilds in Essex South
East enjoyed their first County day out when they accepted the challenge that had been issued by Liz Burnley the Chief Guide of Girlguiding UK to enjoy a Mountain Top Moment somewhere in the world during Centenary Year which celebrated the start of Girlguiding UK.

On their arrival in London the Trefoil members enjoyed a flight on the London Eye and reached the dizzy heights of 135 metres above the River Thames. This was a first time experience for some. "We had a great time and the view was fantastic." said Lynda Walden Chairman of the Rayleigh Trefoil Guild. "when the ride stopped we all wanted to go round again and spot the places in London that we had missed."
After lunch the members had an interesting tour of the Houses of Parliament and were taken back through time as they walked around the corridors of power visiting the House of Lords and the House of Commons.
