IN4MERS

What is In4mers?

We learn 10% of what to read, 15% of what we hear, but about 80% of what we experience.

In4mers is a learning experience. The In4mers are of an age that the target group will relate to. They are encouraged to promote a particular type of behaviour by acting as role models and presenting information in an accessible manner to the target group.

What are the In4mers doing?

They use Peer Education to promote positively the rights and responsibilities of young people as proposed by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. They also offer young people the opportunity to gain life skills while talking and learning about issues that affect them now.

How do they do this?

By running sessions at your unit and at training events and even camps. Each session is tailored to the needs of the group. They use fun and interesting activities and group participation to facilitate discussion.

The session can be based in the whole of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (54 articles which define those Rights),or they can look at specific issues such as families, relationships, personal identity, health issues, cultures, self esteem and bullying.
