Trefoil Events May 2009

On Saturday 9th May the Region held their Trefoil Gathering and AGM at Burwell hosted by Cambs East. We had a great day and were lucky with the weather.
In the morning Trefoil members had the opportunity to visit the open air Burwell Museum of Fen-edge Village Life or do a variety of craft activities which were available at the Burwell Village College. After lunch they watched a powerpoint presentation of Anglia Region Trefoil events which had occurred during 2008 and listened to our Region Chairman Barbara Kippax's report for the year.

We also were pleased to welcome Rosie Spencer CC for Girlguiding Anglia who received a further cheque for the Trefoil Room at Hautbois and talked about recent developments in the Region.
Then our speaker Christopher South (a Radio Cambridgeshire Presenter) together with his wife talked about an African Village where they are helping and gave us some amusing accounts about some of their holiday experiences entitled 'Pictures without a Camera.' The afternoon finished with a short Campfire Singalong led by Marion Prior followed by some excellent tea and cakes to send us on our way back to our homes around the region.
