The Girlguiding Anglia Awards Committee is currently chaired by
Carol Roberts, our Region President.
Carol explains more about the role here:
On behalf of the Awards Committee, I would like to encourage all Girlguiding Anglia members to consider submitting nominations for fellow volunteers for a range of guiding awards, at a regional and national level.
We are looking forward to receiving applications from you for those members who you feel deserve recognition and thanks for what they do in guiding. So often they give up much of their valuable time to help programmes and events run smoothly and ensure that guiding is successful within Districts, Divisions, Counties and Region, without ever giving thought to any reward. It is easy to get into a pattern of pursuing guiding roles without thought of those who quietly, steadfastly and diligently help out - sometimes for many years - without reward. They are our ‘backbone’ of guiding, they play a vital role and acknowledgement and thanks in the form of a Girlguiding or Girlguiding Anglia award is often fitting.
Many local guiding areas, such as Divisions or Counties, also have their own awards, so do take time to consider the most appropriate award for the nominee and seek advice from your local Commissioner or County Chair of Awards Committee too.
If there is someone in guiding who you feel deserves recognition, please click here to download the Awards Guidelines document, which outlines the awards available and the process for nominations. If you wish to submit an application for an Anglia Brooch, please download this form, click here.
If you have any further queries, do not hesitate to contact the Region Office for advice by emailing email@example.com or call 01603 737357 (option 1).
