Girlguiding Anglia News and Events
Youth Participation Focus Groups
This February the Youth Participation Team are holding workshops for girls, young women and adult members to contribute towards the work of the youth participation task and finish group.
The workshops are designed so that girls can attend the workshops without their leaders and with the workshops taking place in half term they make a great activity for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section to attend.
Over 2,900 of you completed the online surveys but now we want to know more...
- Are you a girl in the lead or would you like to be one?
- Do you have strong views on the way in which girls and young women should be able to participate at all levels of guiding?
- Are you an adult member with thoughts and views about girls leading Girlguiding UK?
We are looking for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, members of the Senior Section and Adult Members to join a series of focus groups across the UK.
Join us for an interactive half day workshop for the opportunity to let Girlguiding UK know your views on what being a girl in the lead means for you and what it should look at the start of the second century of Girlguiding UK.
Discuss and debate...
- How do you want to participate in guiding at all levels?
- What opportunities do you want to see made available to you?
- How do you want to find out about events and opportunities on offer?
- What skills do you need to be a girl in the lead?
- What skills do you need as am adult member to help ensure that girls are in the lead?
Girls and young women can join in a workshop even if unaccompanied by a leader so it makes a great half term activity.
