Leadership Qualification: 6-week new leaders course April start

Who?
For anyone starting their Leadership Qualification within the 12 counties of Girlguiding Anglia. This course will focus on completing:
Session 1 – The 5 essentials and the promise
Session 2 – The programme overview
Session 3 – Evaluation and guiding family
Session 4 – Membership management systems
Session 5 – Safety for you, your girls, and your unit
Session 6 – Budgets, communication, and next steps
When?
Sessions will run for 1 hour and 15 mins each week for the duration of the course, 7:30pm till 8:45pm, on Wednesday 27 April, 4 April, 11 April, 18 April, 25 April and 1 June. You need to be available for all 6 sessions so please only book if this is the case. This course starts during Ramadan and we know this won’t work for everyone. If there is anything we can do to support you to attend, please do discuss it with us on events@girlguiding-anglia.org.uk.
There will also be an extra drop in session which is totally optional about a month after your course finishes. This will be your chance to share what you have done with your unit’s since the course and ask any questions you may have after you’ve had time to reflect and start putting your learning into practice.
Where?
This course will be hosted on Zoom, don’t worry if you have not used this before, we have some resources to help you. Although we are not expecting any under 18’s, do think about your surroundings, what you are wearing or saying, as other people in other houses might be able to hear or see you. Uniform or members wear is completely optional.
