A walking weekend for leaders and adult members who wish to train or be assessed in Level 2 of the Girlguiding Walking Scheme. The weekend is also suitable for those who wish to add to Level 2 log book walks or leisure walkers. If you are not sure if this weekend is for you, please contact your county walking adviser or in her absence, the Anglia Walking Adviser, Verity Maclachlan, on walking@girlguiding-anglia.org.uk.
Who is it for? Adult members of Girlguiding Anglia.
Cost? £115 for walkers taking part in formal training or assessment. Now with £10 discount as accommodation is camping only. Please discuss with Verity before booking.
£55 for walkers not wishing to take part in formal training or assessment. Log book or more leisurely walks will be arranged for this group of people. Now with £10 discount as accommodation is camping only. Please discuss with Verity before booking.
What does this include? Transport is not included in the cost of the event and attendees will need to make their own travel arrangements. The cost includes full board and meals from Friday evening to Sunday’s packed lunch. Accommodation is in bunk rooms in Plimsoll building at Girlguiding Sheffield Outdoor Activities Centre, Whiteley Woods.
Arrival and departure times: You can arrive from 6:30pm on Friday and will plan a full day of walking on Saturday. Sunday morning you will leave for a shorter walk which will finish at about 2pm, leaving you time to rest and drive home.
