Girlguiding Anglia deliver care packages to King’s Lynn hospital

As part of our partnership with Macmillan, Girlguiding Norfolk and the Girlguiding Anglia region office team took part in creating care packages for people affected by cancer at The Queen Elizabeth hospital in King’s Lynn.

Over 20 care packages were made up in total and included essentials such as hats, gloves and toiletries, as well as treats and goodies like candles, biscuits and chocolate.

Lynne Gill and Pat Pinnington (L-R centre) from Girlguiding Norfolk and Nicki Gibson (right), Macmillan Corporate Partnership Manager met at the Macmillan Information and Support Centre at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn to deliver the packages to Vicky Mitchell (left), Macmillan Information and Support Manager.

“When a person has cancer, they can often go without essentials, let alone treats and goodies, but with support from organisations such as Girlguiding Anglia, Macmillan can help to make their cancer experience a little more positive”, says Nicki.
