We do not need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better.

Marketing, retail and communications lead volunteer & region trustee
My role involves working closely with the communications staff at the region office and at Girlguiding HQ. It is a varied role which includes social media, newsletters, marketing the region and promoting the brilliant things that our volunteers and young members do. It also includes retail, publications, branding and our fantastic new website. I also help to seek and develop new partnerships for the region, these have included Essex County Cricket, Parliament Week, EqualiTeas, Superfast Essex and #EmilyMatters which have enabled the region to offer new unit challenge packs. Branding and reputation are so important, a major part of my role is to ensure both are maintained and enhanced as a strong brand and reputation are essential to encouraging new volunteers, young members and partnerships. In addition to my region role, my Ranger unit runs the only guiding radio show in the country “The GENE radio show” and when I’m not doing that you’ll find me “Strictly” on the dancefloor!
I love my role and that I am able to use my skills to make a difference to the charity I care about.
