When?
Saturday 3 October 10am-4pm
Who?
This is for young leaders working in a Rainbow, Brownie or Guide unit. You need to be working on or thinking about working on the young leader development programme. If you’ve completed this or are working on the leader development programme then you are a star but this isn’t the training for you!
Where?
This training will be held at The Carnegie & Guildhall Complex in Thetford (IP24 2DS). This is a 10-15 minute walk away from the train station.
Details:
We’ll introduce you to the young leader development programme and you’ll begin some of the modules. There will be activities to do in your unit to complete the modules but you’ll leave the training clear on how to achieve your first 4 modules. After 4 modules, you’ll earn your first shiny badge!
Being a young leader is fun and enjoyable but you can’t be the best young leader without looking after yourself too. This day will include a treat lunch and an activity because it’s important you are treated to some fun as well as some learning.
What to wear and bring?
Please wear your young leader uniform. You might like to bring a notebook and any work you have already done towards the young leader development programme or the young leader qualification if you started that.
Cost?
This day costs £5 and is heavily subsidised by some external funding. It is a legitimate unit expense so you could claim this from your unit. If the cost of travel would prevent you from coming, let us know and we’ll find funding for you. Please note the booking terms and conditions which cover cancellation. If you cancel, and we can’t fill your place, we may charge you the full cost of the event which would be about £55.
