Having been a brownie and guide when I was a young girl, I became a leader for Girlguiding in 1996. I have continued as a leader running a guide unit and a ranger unit. I have held numerous roles during my years including district, division and county commissioner, it has been a privilege to take on these roles, working with amazing volunteers. I am also a trainer, providing training for volunteers, a mentor supporting new leaders working on their leadership development programme and a county ranger adviser. I have organised and attended many events, including residential, camping, large events and international trips. These events have provided adventure and lasting memories. I am passionate about the challenges, skills and friendships Girlguiding provides for girls and adults alike and I feel very privileged to be part of this organisation.
