How long have you been in Girlguiding?

Since 1983 when recruited to help at guides by my next-door neighbour. I was never a young member

Describe your journey to your role:

I have been a guide, brownie and rainbow leader, am county advisor for safe space and for members with additional needs for longer than I can remember, division LQ co-ordinator and mentor. I am a SS regional trainer. My day job background is in special education. I also deliver SG training for Oxfordshire Children Safeguarding Board and for the Church of England.

What do you enjoy the most in your role?

I love seeing both young and adult members grow in confidence and their understanding of the world expand. I love being part of a team/family, part of a really big picture which enables and inspires.
