Exciting activities for 2024

Anglia’s spring term

The spring term in Anglia is always a busy one for the dedicated staff team and amazing region volunteers. March kicks off with the international training weekend being run by our international volunteers. They are busy preparing for adult international trips this year ready for international selection for young members later this year and overseas trips returning to business as usual from 2025. We understand that there is some nervousness about overseas travel and we want to make sure we have as inclusive an offer as possible so we have taken time to fully evaluate our offer before getting back up and running.

March also sees the return of learning development programme (LDP) webinars being run specifically for members in Anglia to respond to demand on top of those provided through the national team. See what’s available and book your space through the learning platform.

We also have training and development planned for region and county level volunteers designed to support these great volunteers to support you. In March and then throughout the year county growth coordinators and PR advisors are invited to a promote and grow online skills day. These volunteers are great local support for any areas recruitment needs.

We are also moving to the final events of our partnership with the RSPB on 20 April. Watch this space for some more exciting partnerships coming up later in 2024. We’ve listened to the subjects that matter to you and our young members the most and hope there will be something for everyone to get involved in.

Finally here in Anglia we are proud of our activity centre at Hautbois in Norfolk. With a proud tradition of guiding our centre was a gift from the Patteson sisters and today is a modern activity centre with indoor accommodation for year round visits as well as extensive camping facilities. We can’t wait for our inaugural Hautbois Festival for Guides and Rangers in August. With tickets sold out it looks to be an amazing weekend of music, fun and friendship. Check out the centres website for other special activities for all ages throughout the year. https://www.hautbois.org.uk/
